Patient interaction
Gather and communicate the information the task requires.
Canada · Patient + examiner stages
Practise Canadian entry-to-residency clinical encounters with a clear distinction between patient interaction and any authored examiner questions.
NAC OSCE
Identify whether the authored practice station is a continuous encounter or includes a later question stage.
Take the history, request supplied findings or discuss management within the encounter’s boundaries.
For a station with an examiner-question stage, stop addressing the patient and answer the examiner’s task. Other stations remain continuous.
Gather and communicate the information the task requires.
Do not mix examiner questions into the simulated patient’s replies.
Use the competencies selected for the station, not an invented official score.
A safe first look
This public orientation uses fictional demonstration information. It is not a course case or a scored examination.
Open the patient encounter, review supplied information, then use the stage control to move into an example examiner question.

Feedback is educational and based on the case and recorded actions. It is not an official examination score or a prediction that you will pass.
Protected mock cases remain outside ordinary practice. Check the available set and its case count before you start; feedback is held until the circuit ends.
