Practise at your pace.
Test yourself under exam conditions.

A timer should help you rehearse—not make you wait after you have completed the task.

Learn: use support deliberately

Start when ready, pause and move between the authored tasks. Available guidance is identified separately from your independent work.

Practise: the default for an individual station

Read the brief and records, then select Start Conversation When Ready. Speak naturally. When an examination or discussion is complete, use Next to move to the next authored task. Pause when needed or Finish & Review early. The overall active allowance is a maximum, not a requirement to stay silent until it expires.

Exam Conditions: choose a timed individual encounter

Reading and timed transitions follow the selected case’s rules. Next is available only where the author allows a candidate-led boundary. This mode is labelled separately so it cannot be confused with flexible practice.

Mock: complete a protected circuit

Read the circuit description before starting. The circuit determines case order, reading, rest and changeover rules and when feedback is released. Leaving or refreshing does not turn it into an untimed practice attempt.

Keep continuous consultations continuous

A patient consultation does not need a button between every question. Next changes the authored task or counterpart; it is not how you send a spoken turn. Some stations have one continuous encounter and only need Finish & Review.

Return to the performance.

Use Review to examine what you actually said, the material supplied and the work submitted. Then rehearse a specific improvement.
